On Tuesday,October 26, 2010, Hossein Shahriari, a pioneer and veteran of the Pan-Iranist Party, who is completing his sentence at Karaj, Rajaiee Shahr prison, was transferred to the hospital clinic following cardiac complications. The 74 year old patriot and activist suffers from cardiac disease, asthma, and prostate disorder.
The Youth Organization of the Pan Iranist Party has declared its concern over Mr. Shahriari’s physical condition and demands to seriously address the situation and continue with the treatment of this patriot in a hospital outside the prison. The continuation of this situation is imposing excess punishment and is a cowardly act.
